Ex Machina

Congratulations. You have just started your new job as a Time Observer at the Timeflow Agency. Unfortunately, this is not the exciting kind of time travel job. 

There are no heroic missions and no dramatic paradoxes. Instead, you have been assigned to a dimly lit office and an unstable terminal with a timeline that keeps breaking in deeply inconvenient ways. To do this, you will use the Time Console Interface Terminal. Inside the terminal, you must connect time-related keywords into new chains of events. 

These event chains can alter what happens, when it happens, and occasionally whether it should have happened at all. You can cut words apart, combine them in new ways, and insert them into the event chain. Some combinations may repair the timeline. 

Others may make things worse in a scientifically interesting way. Once your changes are ready, press Play to execute the events and observe whether your intervention has created a positive effect on the timeline. The Agency defines “positive” very loosely, so do not worry too much if reality complains a little. 

At any moment, you can turn the timeline back by pressing Redo. This will restore the previous state of the timeline, or at least something close enough for internal reporting purposes. 

And since this job is already terrible, you might as well have some fun. Try causing a little harmless unrest in the timeline by triggering temporal Easter eggs hidden inside unusual word combinations.
